Update - II

 

 

From the desk of the Secretary and Correspondent

 

 

 

I feel privileged to submit, yet another update marking the highlights of the second term. 

 

Though, you are all aware, I would like to mention that the Lotus School has made uncompromising efforts to give shape to its guiding philosophy of making the environment feasible for the all round development of the child, and put it into practice.

 

EXAMINATIONS:

 

During the session the III A.T, U.T and Half yearly examination were conducted. Sufficient revision was given to the students.

 

ACADEMIC SESSION:

 

The academic schedule was as per the well planned schedule handled through various teaching techniques depending upon the class, module, subject etc. The higher classes under went a series of seminar session, they try to master the subject while improving communication and stage performance.  Project work makes the part of learning. In addition to the above, Constant reviews; Check ups, assessments etc are in the routine process. High competitive spirit prevails in almost all the classes.

 

CELEBRATIONS:

 

On 5th September Teachers Day, 14th November Children’s Day, 31st December Year Ending etc., were celebrated added with fun, and enthusiasm. Various, competition, sports, events etc., were organized to make the occasion.

 

The much-awaited grand celebration “CARINIVAL AND SCIENCE FAIR” to be held on 26th January is cancelled due to time constraints.

 

The Republic day celebrations were celebrated with the children doing March past, drill, patriotic songs etc., Many students spoke on the occasion.

 

FIELD TRIPS:

 

  1. The Tiny Tots of LKG and UKG have enjoyed their field trip to ZOO
  2. On Feb 3rd, the students of LKG and UKG have visited Lumbini Park (This field trip was sponsored by the school management).
  3. The higher classes from V to X enrolled under NIE programme are likely to visit “THE HINDU” press during the Feb month.

 

TRAINING PROGRAMMES:

 

  1. On 28th and 29th of October, the undersigned and the Principal have attended for a two day Management programme along with many other school managements.
  2. As mentioned earlier, all the teachers have attend for a two day training cum workshop on 25th and 26th of September and the topics like Questioning techniques, circle time, creativity, classroom management, motivation etc were discussed.
  3. On 14th November a workshop for the students of class V to X were conducted on the behaviour and attitude problems and tips to over come examination stress.

 

EVENTS:

 

  1. The higher classes students have attended for an Inter-school Quiz contest “HARMONY” at Sri Satya Sai Nigamam
  2. Our students have participated in the Flag Festival held at YMCA Secunderabad and bagged the IIIrd Prize competing with few reputed International schools at Hyderabad.
  3. Our students participated in the competitions organized by ORCHIDS International school and had an exposure to various events.

 

SLIP TEST:

 

Slip test and Oral test are conducted on every Saturday in the routine process.

 

CLUB ACTIVITIES:

 

All the club activities, seminars, group discussions, projects, worksheets etc are in the full swing. The NIE Interactive sessions are conducted on the regular basis as per the designed group wise module’s the schedule is as follows:

 

PICNIC AND EXCURSIONS:

 

  1. The students from class I to X have enjoyed their picnic programme at “PAVANI RESORTS” during the month of Feb.
  2. A group of students from V to X were taken to a 5 day long excursion cum study tour to ARRAKU VALLEY and Visakhapatnam .
