Children have different learning styles. By introducing SMART – CLASS to
our activity oriented Child- Centered Teaching Methods. It meets the requirements
of all the learning styles.

|
|
This is very latest infrastructure with technology into class room teaching. It
is also being called as Digital Revolution. Only around 70 schools out of 3000 schools
in twin cities has got this kind of infrastructure.

|
|
|
A smart class consists of a Touch screen Digital Board, connected to a mimio device
computer, UPS, speakers etc, with a nice cabinet. The entire smart class is connected
to the knowledge center. The main server has got around 40,000 modules (lessons)
of digital content designed by companies like Britannica, Eureka, Crocodile Clips
etc.

The screen is like a computer desktop. It has got so many sophisticated features.
So for 15,000 modules were demonstrated during this year.

Parent-School-Management
|
|
The co-operation between parent and school management is highly essential to establish
discipline and maintain standards. Parent Teacher Meeting are held every month to
discuss about the program of every child.
|

|
Parent-Orientation Programs are organized to discuss various important aspects of
the school, Education system and related issues. School gives an opportunity and
creates a platform to express their views and thoughts. Parents will enjoy cordial
relationship with all the members of the school to develop understanding to realize
their common goals. The school believes in 100% transparency. Parents take an important
role in all the school activities.

Parent one-to- one interaction

This session gave the opportunity to parents to interact with the management and
they were able to discuss about he growth of their child . This created a long term
bond with the parents.

Extra Curricular Activities

Music :

Class room music lessons in light music are twice a week with compulsory strings
in a year.

Dance :

Students will be explored to various forms of dance arts, folk, traditional classical
& western.

Outdoor Sports :

Once in a week a sports class and for competitions extensive practice sessions in
various sports.

Students will play Table-Tennis, Caroms, Chess and other Indoor games.

House-activities :

Rose, Daffodils, Jasmine Houses, represent the school. The students representing
their particular houses will take-part in various activities.

Inter-School Competitions :

Weather it is academic or sports, Lotus students take part in all Interschool competitions
depending on the possibilities. During the current year 2010-11, Our students took
part in district level sports competitions.

Leadership Oriented Programme :

The school has a unique system of self-governance through such committee as the
school council, the students will get opportunities to plan, organize, execute and
exhibit various events and activities of the school. They will have an opportunity
to bring their ideas to the team heads, and experience the collaborative working
and learning. The process of sharing and understanding, managing etc is made possible
“Discipline and getting the job done” is left to the boys & girls of the council.
The students will participate in various activities like debating, presentations,
event management, seminars, mock parliament Etc. The students will undergo various
personality development programs and keep updating their skills. Master Lotus and
Miss Lotus will be selected every year,
The students need to undergo a series of screening tests which will test various
skills among them, Such activities will help them to refine themselves.
