Mega health camp conducted in Ponnavaram village on 04/03/2015.
With an aim to analyse the primary health need of the people of Ponnavaram a Mega
health camp was organized, Eminent specialist doctors along with their support staff
have attended the camp. The day progressed with an overwhelming response of 95%
participation from the villagers.

Eye care :
|
It was determined that 50 people needed cataract operations. 254 persons are needed
power glasses.

Diabetic :
|
Around 30 persons who were unaware of the issue have been diagnosed as Diabetic
and were educated.

Heart care :
|
Three cases with blocks in the heart were identified. A twelve year old girl has
been detected with heart ailment referred to kims.
|
|
Gynaec care :
|
Gynaec education taught by 3 gynaecologists to nearly 400 women. Primarily concentrated
on college going girls.4 women suffering with severe gynaec problems addressed to
cure.

Dental care :
|
180 school going children educated about the dental care and tooth brush, paste
supplied.
|
|
Ortho care :
|
3 specialists checked ortho related problems and necessary care taken.
|
|
Medicines :
|
Rs 22,000 worth of valuable medicines distributed to the people on the prescription
of the doctor(s).

|
Homeo kit :
|
Homeo kit one for each household given to address the general problems.

|
Action plan for Model village for the months of April and May 2015.

- EYE problems free village:
All people were tested by qualified doctors. based on the advise of the doctors-
a) Power glasses will be supplied to: 250 ( through government hospital)
b) Cataract operations will be taken up: 50 ( through government hospital)
- Construction of toilets “open defecation free village".
219 toilets requirements are identified and approved by RWS&S, first phase of work
started. Actual estimated cost is Rs 20000, out of that RWS&S contributing 15000.
After completion of foundation Rs 6000 will be given.
- Acute Drinking water problem in April, May & June months:
Right now alternative day people are getting water through pipe line. When pipe
lines are broken, planned to supply drinking water through tankers.
- RO WATER PLANT:
Before purchase of RO water plant, basement with certain height have to be constructed
along with roof.
bore + bore pump to be arranged.
- De silting of water tank ( cheruvu) along with construction of retaining wall with
plantation+ tree guards.
- Survey of Donka roads and formation of roads with the help local realtors.
- Removal of encroachments on 2 streams and construction of check dams to maintain
ground water levels.
- Skill development programme during the summer in DTP ( DESKTOP PUBLISHING)/ ENGLISH
LANGUAGE.
- 100% bank accounts for students and others ( jandhan yojana)
